FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

With over 25 years of experience designing and operating tours in Tuscany, Dolce Vita Experience works closely with local winemakers, agriturismo owners and artisans – people we know personally – to offer access and hospitality rarely available through traditional travel programs.

As trusted partners and long-time friends of our hosts and producers in the region, we introduce our guests to the people behind the wines, food and places they love, creating meaningful, experience-based travel that emphasizes connection and cultural understanding.

Our tours are intentionally designed with a slower pace, allowing guests to relax, connect and fully experience the region without constant packing, transfers or rushed schedules.

Your tour includes:

✔ Accommodation at authentic agriturismi, elegant estates and villas – all with private bathrooms.
✔ All meals, including wine.
✔ Group airport transfer from arrival airport.
✔ All programmed activities and experiences.
✔ All transportation according to the program activities and experiences.
✔ Dolce Vita Experience Tour Leader throughout the trip.
✔ Guided tours with private English-speaking experts.
✔ All tourist taxes.

The following are not included:

✘ International flights.
✘ Multiple arrival/departure transfers.
✘ On-your-own meals, activities and extra services.
✘ Tour Leader gratuities.

While we don’t book flights directly, we recommend booking through our US travel partner, Walker & Hays Travel, who can provide the best prices, schedules, and customized service for our tours.  Please reach out to Sheila Walker at sheila@travelology.com.

While our tours include walking tours and activities like truffle hunting, we maintain a comfortable pace suitable for most travelers. We recommend being able to walk comfortably for a few hours at a time and manage stairs in historic buildings.

Agriturismi are working farms that offer accommodations, allowing you to experience authentic farm-to-table cuisine and Tuscan country living. We’ve carefully selected our partner estates over 25 years to provide both comfort and authentic experiences.

We keep our tours small to ensure a personal and intimate experience. Groups can be as small as 12 people and no larger than 24. This allows us to maintain a friendly atmosphere, offer more personalized attention, and create meaningful connections with both fellow travelers and the local communities we visit.

To confirm your reservation, a deposit of 30% is required at the time of booking. The specific amount and payment details will be provided during the booking process.

Yes, we accommodate dietary restrictions. Please let us know your specific needs when booking, and we’ll ensure that your meals are tailored accordingly.

We carefully select our tour dates to offer the best weather and experiences. Our tours run April to June and September through early November, both excellent seasons to visit Tuscany for mild weather and harvest activities.

Dolce Vita Experience does not provide travel insurance. However, we strongly recommend that travelers purchase their own policy for added protection.  If you plan to pay for your trip with a credit card, we suggest checking with your financial institution to see if your card includes cancellation insurance or any other type of travel coverage.  You may also consult your insurance broker or explore options from travel insurance providers to find a policy that best suits your needs.
